How It Works
Managers record equipment issuing through the management dashboard:
- Item type — radio, body camera, uniform, torch, key set, etc.
- Serial number or identifier — for tracking individual items
- Issued to — which guard has the item
- Issue date — when it was given out
- Condition — new, good, fair, poor
- Notes — any relevant details
When equipment is returned, it’s marked as returned with the date and condition. Damaged or lost items are flagged for replacement.
Guard Equipment Profile
Each guard’s profile shows all equipment currently issued to them. When a guard leaves or transfers, managers can see exactly what needs to be recovered — no guessing, no arguments about what was issued.
Why It Matters
Equipment costs add up. A lost radio might cost £200 to replace. A body-worn camera, £300+. Multiply these losses across a team of 50 guards with typical turnover rates, and you’re looking at thousands of pounds annually in equipment that simply disappears.
