TacBot: an AI assistant for security companies
Ask TacBot a plain-English question about your shifts, reports or licences and it answers from your own live data. A tool for managers, currently in beta, included from TacStarter up.
Availability: Included from TacStarter
TacBot is included on TacStarter, TacPro and TacCommand. It isn't available on TacFree. It's currently in beta and it's for managers, not guards.
You need to know which of your licences expire this month, or whether the Foundry site had a shift gap on Saturday. Normally that means opening two or three screens and cross-checking dates by eye.
What most firms do today
The rota, the reports and the licence register all exist, but answering a specific question means someone going and looking: filtering a list, opening a report, checking a spreadsheet against a calendar. It's not that the data isn't there. It's that getting an answer out of it takes a manager's time every single time the question comes up.
How TacDesk does it
TacBot is a chat assistant inside the management dashboard. A manager types a question in plain English, things like which guards are clocked in right now, what incident reports came in this week, or which licences expire in the next 30 days, and TacBot answers from your live TacDesk data rather than a general knowledge base.
It's built to do a defined set of things well rather than improvise. It can look up clocked-in guards, recent reports by type, your client list, shifts in a date range, attendance and punctuality, feedback, time-off requests, shift conflicts, SIA licence status by guard or by licence number, upcoming licence expiries, and unstaffed shifts. If you ask it something outside what it's built to check, it says so rather than guessing at an answer.
TacBot can also take action on your behalf: creating or updating a shift, approving or declining time off, sending a message or a memo, marking a report reviewed, updating a vehicle defect status, logging a bug or feature request. None of that happens silently. Every action comes back as a card you have to confirm before anything changes, so a manager stays in control of what actually gets written to the record.
TacBot is built for managers, not guards. It sits on the management dashboard, and guards don't see it or use it.
Why it matters
Questions get answered in seconds, not by digging. "How many guards are on the Foundry site right now" is a chat message instead of a filtered search across three screens.
Actions still need a human to say yes. TacBot can draft a shift change or a message, but it can't quietly make one. A manager confirms every write before it lands, so nothing changes on your account without someone actually deciding it should.
It answers from your own records. TacBot isn't guessing what a typical security company does. It's reading your rota, your reports and your licence register, so the answer is your operation's actual data.
Where it sits
TacBot is included from TacStarter up: TacStarter, TacPro and TacCommand. It isn't part of TacFree. It's currently in beta. The pricing page has the full plan comparison.
It's a manager's tool for finding answers in records that already exist. If you want to know how those reports get filed in the first place, see incident reports; guards filing reports by voice instead of typing is covered on the voice to report page.
